Description

A guitar ray, a bezoar, a sloth, dominoes, a stone crab, lepidoptera, a kayak, a mammoth tooth, etc. In the 17th century, this "infinity of rare and sought-after things" found a place in the cabinets of curiosities. In Lyon, the most famous of these collections belonged to Balthasar de INonconys (1611-1665). The birth of the Musée des Confluences, which is today its heir, is an opportunity to visit this chamber of wonders, a place of knowledge as much as of delight.
