Description

In this multi-part poem, evoking the fragmentation of the meteorite it describes, the modern and free form contrasts with the antiquity of the observed object. A voice is raised to explain a scientific fact in a poetic way, and science and literature mingle with joy.
With her own style, Valérie Rouzeau plays with words as she plays with science. Pieces of meteorite become "diamonds" or "the necklace of an angry goddess". From Copernicus to Tintin, from Éluard to Rahan, the universes telescope to allow the reader to rediscover this Allende meteorite with new eyes.

Valérie Rouzeau is a poet, lyricist and translator. She holds a master's degree in literary translation and has translated several contemporary Anglo-Saxon poets, including Sylvia Plath. Her poetic career began when she sent manuscripts to Guy Chambelland. Her collection Au revoir was a major success in 1999 and brought her national recognition. In 2012 she was awarded the Apollinaire Prize for Poetry for her collection Vrouz .
